About Rich
I help teams make sense of complex search problems and get the right work done.
I’m Rich Migliorisi, an SEO, AI search, and organic growth consultant. I work with companies that need experienced guidance and someone who can help carry the work through, not just hand over recommendations.

The short version
I have 13+ years of experience in digital publishing and web operations, including 8+ years focused heavily on SEO, content strategy, organic growth, and website performance.
I’ve led SEO, content, and web operations in competitive publishing and affiliate businesses, connecting search strategy with technical execution, customer acquisition, analytics, and commercial priorities.
My work has included technical SEO, content systems, analytics and forecasting, digital PR, and day-to-day collaboration with product, engineering, editorial, design, and commercial teams.
Across roles and consulting engagements, I’ve worked on 1,000+ pages spanning SEO, content, and web operations.

How I think about modern search
Traditional search remains essential. AI-generated answers add another discovery and decision layer, but they do not erase the need for accessible pages, clear information, useful content, strong brands, credible authority, and a website that helps people act.
- Technical access and site quality
- Audience demand and intent
- Content usefulness and originality
- Entity clarity and expert identity
- Authority and external corroboration
- Customer acquisition and commercial value
- Measurement with honest limitations
Strategy and implementation
I’m comfortable in an executive discussion, a roadmap workshop, a crawl export, an analytics report, a content brief, or a ticket review with engineers. Some clients need a clear answer and plan. Others need help carrying the work through. The scope depends on what is actually getting in the way.
I also build AI-assisted workflows, scripts, and lightweight tools when that is the most practical way to solve the problem.
Where Evidence Intelligence fits
For AI-search work, I also look at the facts, claims, and outside sources shaping how a company is represented, including what is consistent, what is missing, and what supports the claims that matter. I call that Evidence Intelligence, but it is only one part of the work.
Working principles
Make the reasoning clear
You should understand why I’m recommending something, what supports it, and how we’ll judge whether it worked.
Prioritize ruthlessly
A hundred-item audit is not a strategy. Priorities should reflect impact, confidence, effort, dependencies, and opportunity cost.
Respect the team and platform
The best answer on paper may be wrong for the organization. Recommendations have to fit the team, technology, and level of risk.
Separate evidence from hypothesis
Search and AI systems are not fully observable. I label what is known, inferred, and being tested.
Stay close to outcomes
Rankings and visibility matter, but qualified demand, customer acquisition, user value, and business contribution matter more.

Publishing came first
Before SEO and web operations became the focus of my career, I wrote about fantasy sports and was nominated for FSWA Baseball Writer of the Year in 2013. That gave me an early education in digital publishing, audiences, and what makes information useful to people.
Outside work, music has always been a big part of my life.
